Emergency dentistry at Polwarth Dental Clinic

At our practice Polwarth Dental Clinic, we offer same-day emergency appointments to either our registered patients, non-patients and visitors who are in need of emergency dental treatment, so if you are not currently a patient with us there is no need to worry as you can still book an emergency appointment with us. We ask all those wanting to visit our emergency dentist in Edinburgh to call us as soon as they encounter an injury during our working hours which is Monday to Friday between 9am and 5:30pm, and we will advise you to come into our practice to see our emergency dentist.

What to expect at your appointment with our emergency dentist in Edinburgh

When you come to our practice at Polwarth Dentist Clinic; our emergency dentist will firstly assess the dental injury you have. If you are in any pain, our emergency dentist will also aim to relieve you of any pain you may be experiencing whilst also providing you with dental treatment for the issue you may have. If we are unable to completely treat your dental issue on the day, we will make sure that you leave our clinic pain free and we will also book you a follow up appointment so that we can deal with the issue and avoid your oral health becoming potentially worse because of the dental emergency.

What if you experience a dental emergency outside of our working hours?

Often, our patients at Polwarth Dental Clinic experience a dental emergency outside of our working hours. So in order to ensure that our registered patients are still able to receive our services for any dental emergencies, we have an on-call dentist available for you to speak with. All you will need to do is call our practice and listen to the answering machine where we have recorded instructions for our on-call dentist.

We have made our out of hours emergency service available for all our registered patients and the call-out fee is currently £135. You can use this service 365 days per year and if you are a member of one of our dental plans you will also be able to claim the majority of this call out fee back.
